Description: Description 19thC Antique French Inlaid "Oeil de boeuf" Wall Clock, circa 1880. Blue Roman numerals set upon relief cartouches edged in gilding. Beautiful inlay with several types of wood including ebony/ebonzied wood. The glass is hand blown and has characteristic striations and an air bubble. The case is hinged on the top to access winding. Includes key. The retailer for this clock was Adolpho Bergemann, Malaga. Measures approx. 23" height x 19" width x 6" depth. Condition notations: The outer and inner case with its inlay, as well as the dial are in excellent condition. The winding arbors seem fully wound. There is no leader or pendulum bob, however manually moving the suspension spring makes the time advance. One hand is likely a replacement. The interior of the glass has some surface film that can be cleaned but I could not reach the entire glass, mentioned for accuracy. There is a gong wire and hammer for striking the time.
