19th century antique travel train campaign burl wood folding lap desk lock box

Description: Here have an old travel lap desk from the late 19th century. It has a name tag of the previous owner dated 1949, but that would just be when it was handed down. Fairly good condition, there is a split in the top but not critical. The box locks and there are two locking compartments inside. Includes 4 keys which work (two each for the outer and inner locks) but require a little jiggling to catch the tumblers. Also includes two inkwells and an old pearl fountain pen. The pen is mostly likely gold filled or plated as there are no markings. Measures apx. 15" x 10" x 5". An unusual item at a bargain opening bid, thanks for looking!
