Description: This circulated 1973 quarter found in a bank roll has an interesting feature on Washington's bust. The oval appears, to me, to be a strike through event. **It has been discussed on a coin group and no determination could be made as to exactly what the anomaly is.** There is no apparent raised metal surrounding the feature that would indicate post mint damage to the coin, but certain areas of the oval do not look correct for a normal strike through of debris. No matter what the cause, it is a cool looking quarter! I'm selling this quarter "as is," in that I cannot guarantee the obverse feature is not just plain 'ol post mint damage. (Even though I don't believe it to be.)
