This is a special "D" shaped dense foam gasket that fits into the curved edge of the air cleaner lid. About 58" long which is more than enough for the lids from this era. If you are re-painting or re-chroming you will need this. One of the many Daniel Carpenter weather-stripping products I carry for the restoration of your Cougar.
