Description: Up for sale, a 1966 Harmony Rocket H59 in collector-grade condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original chipboard case. 100% original save for a replica pickguard, this Chicago, IL-made Harmony was the top-tier model in the Rocket family, featuring a fully hollow body, vibrant Red Sunburst finish, and trio of DeArmond “mustache” Gold Foil pickups. This particular iteration of the H59 is the second version produced, available from 1966-67. The all-maple hollowbody construction gives this guitar exceptional natural resonance and top end cut, providing an ideal platform for the pickups. Few pickups can match the balance, clarity, and overall tonal character of original DeArmond Gold Foil pickups. They have a percussive snap and twang, tight bass, and a rich midrange that sounds great when each pickup is singled out or when engaged together. All three pickups have strong output, and each setting on the four way rotary pickup selector switch is distinct.
