Description: 1965-1966 PALMER / TEMPO ONE(?) Matsumoku Double-Cut Red Electric Guitar - NICE Quite nice for something more than a half century old. Mid 1960's, Small, thin (only 1.2" thick) solid body electric guitar most likely made under the Palmer or Tempo name by Matsumoku of Japan (they also made guitar for Teisco, Kawai, Kent, Kingston, Guyatone and many others). Single "gold foil" electric pickup with the original tremolo bar. Guitar has GREAT color to it. Don't see too many guitars this age with such vivid original color. Item does have a few dings and scratches to common use (mostly on the back), but there are a few nicks and dings on the back of the neck, including one about the length of a nickel (but it's shallow, barely through the finish). Along the upper few frets, the finish where the neck meets the fretboard has flaked off, exposing the edge (see last pic) of the fretboard/neck...there are NO signs of it separating or weakening on the guitar. This sort of cosmetic issue is usually covered up by the finish. Even though the guitar was just set up, I recommend that the winning buyer allow the guitar to sit and get acclimated to it's new temperature and humidity environment for a couple of days before you slap on your strings of choice and adjust the guitar to suit your playing style. Just a nice looking, original guitar. #4218
