1958 American Character 14" Betsy McCall Doll In Vintage Dress, Hat

If you’re unhappy please contact me. ☹️ GOLDEN RETRIEVER ALERT! I try not to send them with items, but they love to travel. My sincerest apologies for any stray hair. DOLL STAND NOT INCLUDED Up for consideration is a 14” Betsy McCall with Short, Dark, Brunette hair. Factory stamp on back of head. No missing plugs or cut hair that I can find. The hair is a little course on ends and could use conditioning. No missing eyelashes that I can see. A little paint worn off on eyelid but blue eyeshadow is still present. Eyes are clear. Joints are tight. Please note: A tiny dent under left eye. Didn’t see it until I zoomed in. A little blush may be worn away on top of right cheek. (FYI: Always be careful to only gently wipe when cleaning face.) Fingernails and toenails need polishing. Other than that, she is in great shape. The dress and hat are vintage 50’s and the dress fits her like a glove. I’m not a seamstress, so I can’t say whether it’s factory or handmade but the set is as old as she is. I don’t know my fabrics, but I think it’s maybe an organza? It’s sheer and kind of stiff. Not as flowing as a chiffon. It has cute felt flowers on the lace of the front and back neckline. The hat is called cloissen style I think. Also with vintage flowers. None missing that I can tell. There is and never was a neck strap that I’m aware of, so you can use se a straight pin to keep on head. I have tissue paper underneath it to poof the skirt out. It will require a slip to get the same effect. I held the dress to the light and find no holes, rips, stains or discoloration. Snap is secure. I forgot to do that first. Sorry. You’ll have to gage it off if how it fits her. (FYI: The American character 14 inch Toni/Sweet Sue Sophisticate has the same body as Betsy McCall.) All Sales Final.
