Description: Vintage Giannini Guitar. Made in Brazil. The Blue label dates this to c. 1940-1950. It is a small four string,guitar, somewhere in between the size of a Baritone ukulele and a tenor guitar. The length is 31 3/4", width is 11 3/8", and depth is 2 7/8". The scale is 19 1/2". It is a beautiful instrument, nicely made, with a mahogany body and neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Inlaid wood and celluloid rosette and purfling. Originally the tuners were wood pegs. These have been replaced with vintage friction tuners. It is strung with nylon strings and plays well with a tone something like a baritone ukelele. A old, non-original case is included for shipping . A rare guitar-I've never seen another like it.
