Description: In 1894, Elbert Hubbard began writing the Little Journeys to the Homes of the Great. Without a break, Hubbard released one of the little gems to the world each month. In all, there were 180 “Little Journeys”. This is Roycrofters’ Memorial to Elbert Hubbard. All 14 volumes are present in this collection. This set is very unique. I was only able to come across a few exactly like this set, and none of them were in this fine a condition. In the design modeled in colors on the outside front cover of these fourteen volumes, the artist has given us his conception of a memorial to Elbert Hubbard. In the foreground the tree, emblematic of his life’s work. The water to recall the last voyage of the ill-fated Lusitania. And the golden glow of a brilliant sunset through the mountains in the distance to remind us of Elbert Hubbard’s last “Little Journey” to the great beyond. There is some wear on the outer binding and some of the page edges are discolored due to age. The page holder (ribbon) has come loose in a few volumes, but is still present. Please pay close attention to the photos and inquire if more photos would be useful. This would be an impressive collection to own or to give as a gift. It will be shipped using USPS Media Mail unless otherwise requested. I can change shipping method if you would prefer, but you need to make that known BEFORE final purchase.
