Description: ANTIQUE BOOKTHE BIRD-WOMAN OF THE LEWIS & CLARK EXPEDITIONA SUPPLEMENTARY READER FOR FIRST AND SECOND GRADERSBY KATHERINE CHANDLER 1905SILVER, BURDETT AND COMPANY The hard cover book is in nice condition for it's age with some flaws. It is a school book for 1st and 2nd graders. The book was owned by my Great Grandfather W.D. VINCENT He had a large collection of books which he loaned out like a library. So on the first page of all his books will be his FROM THE LIBRARY STICKER that says: RETURN TO THE LIBRARY OF W.D. VINCENT BOSIE, IDAHO and then the book was numbered. The number was also put on the outside binding. On the inside back hard cover. was a numbered ticket for those who borrowed his book. The book binding is strong and the pages are all intact. There are little shadow cutouts inside the book of owl's and candles and a moon. These have probably sat inside the book for years so the color construction paper has bled onto the pages. (Pictured) The hard cover has some wear on the front and back, with discoloration. The book measures 7.5" X 8.5"With 109 PagesThere are no rips or tears on the pages and all the pages are clean except what I have already mentioned. There are pages with some illustrations. Please look at the pictures. Again, this is a 1st and 2nd grade reader. The book has sat on a library style book shelf for the past 40+ years. We thought a collector might enjoy the book rather than to just have it sit and collect dust.Thanx for looking and check back often as we are always adding new merchandise.:D
