Description: 1897 Men's Waltham Manual Wind Watch This is an beautiful men's Waltham manual wind watch, manufactured in 1897 (the serial number stamped on the movement indicates the year of manufacture). The 7 jewel movement has been cleaned and oiled, and the watch is keeping accurate time. The dial on this watch is in very good condition for the age, with only some wear around the edges where it has rubbed against the bezel, a couple small spots of discoloration, a few scratches, and typical patina. The engraved base metal bezel and case have been cleaned and polished, and both show minor silver color loss on the high points (see pictures). A brand new acrylic crystal has been installed. A brand new black leather strap has been installed. Overall, the watch is in very good condition and ready to wear!
