Description: Nice repunched date coin, 1865 Fancy 5, uncirculated GEM. Nice chocolate color. Color differences in the photos are due to lighting and angle. I chose a direct frontal 90-degree photo, as well as a roughly 45-degree angled photo to the light to best describe and record the surfaces. Surfaces tend to be clear and problem-free of any major distracting marks. Lots of remaining red luster is present, but is somewhat diminished. One can easily see the repunching of the date as evidenced in the close-up photos of the date numerals. The coin is in great state of preservation. Great variety coin!
