FASHIONED IN DOUBLE LAYER WITH EACH HAVING HAND APPLIED SILK BRAIDING WHICH RUNS ALL ALONG THE EDGE. FLAT PIPED SEAMS ALONG ALL OF THE EDGES WITH A BLACK SILK CHANTILLY LACE EDGING RUNNING ALONG THE EDGE OF THE TOP LAYER. UNLINED WITH THE INTERIOR BACK HAVING BROWN COTTON TWILL TAPE BELTING FOR ENCIRCLING THE WAIST. CONDITION: THE TOP LAYER CAPE I BELIEVE WOULD HAVE CONNECTED TO THE UNDER LAYER WITH SEVERAL TACK STITCHES THAT HAVE COME FREE, NEW STITHES ARE EASILY READDED BACK INTO PLACE. TWO INCHES OF BRAID HAS COME FREE FROM THE RIGHT SHOULDER WITH NO LOSS AND THE SILK TAFFETA HAS NO WEAKNESS. IT LOOKS SHOW ROOM NEW IN CONDITION.
