Artist Proofs {AP} were generally limited to 50 in the world ever produced and given to Magic Artists as a thank you for their work for every card they illustrated. The "Beta" sett is the FIRST and most coveted of them all. Post Malone paid $800,000 for a CGC 8.5 Black Lotus Beta Artist Proof signed by Christopher Rush {non-painted}. Painted proofs with artwork on the back ranges in quality, and the Full Color Painted Beta Artist Proofs are the crown jewel of all AP Collecting. This Mox Sapphire Beta Artist Proof has been painted on the back by the original Artist Dan Frazier. Truly one of the most iconic pieces in Magic history, this is the "best of both worlds" as the front you have the wonderful card details and the back is an original painting. PSA has certified this card as a 10 auto grade {they are not grading the card at this time if painted}. This is the only one painted and certified at this grade to date.
